Skiers prepare to head for Summit Shelter via the
Canal and McLoughlin Trails
Canal and McLoughlin Trails
14 skiers took the Canal-McLoughlin route and 8 skiers skied Petunia; meeting for lunch at Summit Shelter. Another group of eight gathered for lessons at the Petunia plantation area. Bright sunshine, a firm base with 2 inches of new powder and temperatures reaching 24 degrees made for a wonderful day in the Cascades.

Hi There,
Are there any groomed skate ski trails near Grants Pass area? I'm from Portland and looking for new areas to skate ski, thought I'd check Southern Oregon.
Thanks!
Diamond Lake has groomed trails for skate skiing. It's up near Crater Lake so a bit of a drive from GP. The road on the backside of Mt Ashland is groomed much of the time.
